We will win hands down: Pawan Kalyan

The PRP would win hands down no matter what the forces ranged against it, said Pawan Kalyan on the second day of his tour of Guntur district.

Speaking at a press meet at Dachepalli village, where he stopped for the night yesterday, he sought to know whether a television set could still pangs of hunger.

The scheme announced by the Telugu Desam Party as part of its manifesto was irrational and did not serve the interests of the people, Pawan Kalyan said.

Asked by reporters why selection of candidates for the respective Assembly and Parliament constituencies was being delayed, he said there were many aspirants for each ticket and their several claims had to be to considered.

Elaborating, he said: “Weighing winnability claims and the social justice factor promised by the party takes some doing.

Hence the time being taken for the allotment of seats.’’ Earlier, speaking during the roadshow, the actor said the Praja Rajyam would move way ahead like a railway engine. He was apparently trying to familiarise the people with the party’s symbol — though word on this is yet to come in from the Election Commission.

Coming down heavily on Jalayagnam, Pawan Kalyan said that not even four projects had been completed and not a single acre irrigated. Corruption was the main reason for its utter failure, he said, promising that Praja Rajyam would work to set things right once it came to power.
