Powerstar‘s Puli Music rights for Rs3 Crs?

Power star Pawan Kalyan‘s last hit Jalsa set a record as Aditya Music Company bought the marketing rights for the film‘s music for over Rs.one crore. Now again, Puli‘s music is all set to be sold to the highest bidder for over Rs3 crores. 

Puli, starring Pawan Kalyan, is produced by Singanamala Ramesh Babu under Kanakaratna Media banner and is directed by SJ Suryah.

Insiders say that though Sony had bid up to Rs. two crores, the makers decided to wait for a higher offer as the Pawan Kalyan and S.J. Suryah team is expected to churn out a bigger hit.

Kushi, directed by S.J. Suryah seven years ago starring Pawan Kalyan was a super-duper hit, and was remade in Tamil and Hindi. The remakes too were big box office earners.

SJ Surya was thrown off a motorbike that he was driving during the film’s shooting. He had sustained some injuries on his face (close to his eyes) and a few injuries to his legs.

Pawan kalyan becomes advisor for Chiranjeevi

 

Actor Pawan Kalyan is assisting his brother Chiranjeevi with his agenda for Chiru's political party. Pawan along with brother Nagababu and Allu Aravind is among the close knit team of advisors for Chiranjeevi.

While Chiranjeevi will take a plunge into politics in August, Pawan will wait till the next assembly elections before entering into active politics. Pawan wants to finish his films on hand Puli and also Sathyagrahi. Pawan is incorporating his Common Man Protection force in the story of Sathyagrahi.

Kamal Haasan’s Dasavatharam (also spelt Dasavathaaram) wowed the entire nation. Now, the buzz is that Rajinikanth will appear in 20 different costumes in a single song. The song has been picturised on Rajinikanth and Nayantara in his forthcoming Kathanayakudu.

The great news for his fans is that all the 20 costumes would be from his previous films, so they can all have a great time, identifying his different styles or ‘avataars’! Not only that, for his Telugu audiences, Rajni will also come as Pawan Kalyan in Jalsa.

Directed by P. Vasu and produced by C. Ashwini Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies banner, Kathanayakudu’s audio will be released on June 30.

Pawan Kalyan will not contest elections

Pavan Kalyan, brother of Chiranjeevi, is very confident of his brother’s political party doing well. He says that he is only an ordinary worker of the party. He adds that in Chiru’s party all are equal.

Pawan is not contesting in the ensuing elections and will be content to strengthen the organization of the party. He says he is now looking after the security of Chiranjeevi and also coordinating the cultural outfits supporting the cause of the party.

After the public meeting is held at Tirupathi, actor Pawan intends to focus on the problems of youth and undertake training programmes to create more youthful leaders.

In his interaction with the media, Pawan has been reluctant to shed any light on the agenda of Chiranjeevi’s political party.

Pawan Kalyan, who graced the NRI meet in Hyderabad, said that Chiranjeevi is going to be the next Chief Minister. Replying to a media query, he said he was in no doubt to say that Chiranjeevi having won the hearts of the people of Andhra Pradesh would win the power also. Manoj Bajpai happy with Komaram Puli

Bollwyood actor Manoj Bajpai is acting in Telugu again after Happy and Premakatha. 

Now he does the crucial role in Pawan Kalyan’s current movie – Komaram Puli. He says he is happy with the movie’s content but he faced big problem on the sets pronouncing Telugu words correctly. It is really an uphill task for me, he confesses. “But luckily, the producer and director S.J.Surya have provided Tele-prompters on the location that made my life easier,” he said. 

But he refused to divulge more details about the movie and his role. “S.J.Surya is a good friend to me. On his insistence, I did this movie and it is a nice entertainer with all the commercial elements. I have a great role,” he said.

Pawan rubbishes his cinema retirement plans

Newcomer Naksha in Pawan Kalyan’s Puli

Pawan Kalyan is riding high on his success of Jalsa after 7 long years. So it’s no surprise that he’s pouring all his energies into his next project to make it even bigger than Jalsa. Puli, his next flick, directed by S.J. Suryah, is shaping up well, according to insiders.

Everything is perfect, except for one tiny fact, which is that no heroine has been finalized for Puli. Of course, Parvathi Melton, a good friend of Pawan Kalyan, is the second heroine. But Pawan Kalyan, who wanted a big Mumbai-based heroine to star opposite him has run into a wall every time he’s approached a leading Bollywood heroine. First, there was Kareena of the Kapoor khadaan, who politely turned the martial arts hero down; then Priyanka Chopra too gave a big thumbs down for a rare chance to act with Pawan Kalyan. Even Katrina Kaif’s name was suggested by inside sources. But nothing came of that bit of speculation.

The last we heard was that Hansika Motwani had been roped in to be Pawan Kalyan’s arm candy, but even she exited the movie discreetly.

Now Pawan Kalyan has settled for a new face Naksha. We hope that this choice finally works for the Puli!

Komarum Puli, Pawan Kalyan's latest film, directed by S. J. Suryah and produced by Singanamala Ramesh, starts its third schedule from 3rd January 2009, which will continue up to February 15th. The director plans to wrap up the 'talkie' part and several important scenes in this period. The song sequences will be shot in March and the movie is planned for release in May 2009.

Pawan Kalyan not only grew a huge moustache but also took some guidance from officials at the Police Training College, Hyderabad to lend credence to his role of police officer in Komarum Puli. Recent reports say that he plays the role of an NSG commando. Newcomer Naksha is the heroine. Manoj Bajpai, Charan Raj, Nasser, Saranya and Ali are in the supporting star cast.

Pawan Kalyan weds Renu Desai

Pawan Kalyan, the youngest brother of Chiranjeevi, has been in the news as much for his private life as for his films. He went through a very messy divorce with his first wife, Nandini, to whom he had to pay an undisclosed sum as settlement. At the same time, he was staying with a close friend Renu Desai.

After Chiranjeevi launched his Praja Rajyam Party (PRP), the opposition had a field day with Pawan Kalyan's relationship with Renu. To silence his critics, Pawan Kalyan married Renu Desai in an Arya Samaj wedding ceremony at his residence yesterday (January 28th) at 10 a..m. Only Chiranjeevi, Allu Aravind along with their families were present at the wedding.

The media was not allowed at the wedding, but soon after the marriage was solemnized, the couple stepped out and posed for pictures.
